The New England Society of News Editors’ invites you to attend their 1st annual Journalism Job Fair.
The job fair will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the New England Newspaper & Press Association headquarters, which is located on the suburban campus of Northeastern University in Dedham, MA.
Newspaper representatives from top media outlets around New England will be in attendance to share opportunities their organizations have to offer graduating students including internships, freelance positions and full and part time positions. Plus students can also pick up tips to help with their interviewing skills, job search and resumes.
The guest speaker will be former New England journalist Glen Johnson, who is currently Deputy Assistant Secretary, U.S. Bureau of Public Affairs. Johnson is a senior advisor to Secretary of State John Kerry, focused on strategic communications. He previously worked at The Sun of Lowell, the Salem Evening News, The Boston Globe and The Associated Press.
All attendees of the job fair are invited to NESNE’s spring awards ceremony which begins at 5:00 p.m.The New England College Newspaper of the Year will be named at the reception, as well as several other prestigious awards (master reporter, master photographer, newsroom rising star, etc.).
