“The POLITICO Journalism Institute will be held from June 5-June 12 and offer intensive, hands-on training for 12 university students interested in covering government and politics. Two students will be selected from each Institute class for a three-month residency in the POLITICO newsroom to write, edit, and produce content.

All costs for Institute participants, including room, board and transportation will be provided.

The residencies will be paid positions and may include a housing allowance. Institute students will split time between American University in Washington, D.C., and POLITICO headquarters in Arlington, Va. POLITICO Residency participants will work in the Arlington newsroom.

Applicants who are rising juniors or seniors at accredited four-year colleges or universities will be given preference. Student members of minority journalism associations are encouraged to apply.”
